Snakes March 15th - 21st

Day 74.Simple snake from above.

Day 75. Snake, skull, dagger and roses, now we're talking.

Day 76. Not the best effort almost forgot to do a sketch today, been at a wedding all day, done for St. Patricks day.

Day 77. Its getting harder everyday to think of something to wrap a snake around.

Day 78. Got a bit of a funny head this one, was hoping to get better as the month went on. Ah well!

Day 79. Now if this isn't suitable for a tattoo, I don't know what is. Snake and anchor.

Day80. Medusa. Could look pretty good with a bit of work. I'm not great at free-handing faces either, as I'm sure we'll find later in the year.

Snakes March 8th - 14th

Day 67. Trying to work on my finger waves a bit more, still needs more work.

Day 68. Another cobra, more suited layout for tattoo.

Day 69. Going a bit more classic tattoo style here.

Day 70. Still working on a japanese style waves and background.

Day 71. Used reference for the head on this one, still working on those finger waves.

Day 72. Classic design, but not very successful sketch, maybe next time.

Day 73. Trying to get a bit more tattooable again.

Snakes March 1st - 7th

Day 60. See I told you I can't draw snakes.

Day 61. Better effort today, simple flow wrapped around a tree. Happy with the head.

Day 62. Snake with a skull, everything is better with a skull in it!

Day 63. A bit more complicated flow on this one, nice simple head.

Day 64. Cobra design, threw in a few cherry blossoms to give it a bit of interest.

Day65. Snakes biting each other, could have done a better flow with these I think but not bad.

Day66. A bit more tattoo friendly this one, snake with roses, what's not to like?

March - SNAKES

March's theme is going to be snakes.

I'm not really very good at doing snakes, I struggle with the flow of the body, but this is what this exercise is all about, getting better at drawing stuff so will hopefully sketches will get better by the end of the month.

Flowers February 22nd - 28th

Day 53. Trying out an Art Nouveau look again.

Day 54. A bit flat looking but not bad, getting a bit stuck in the large one small one layout, but it works.

Day 55. Peony and cherry blossom design again, a bit more sucessful than the last effort.

Day 56. A few made up flowers in a bunch type thing.

Day 57. Lily design, a bit lazy really but popular type image.

Day 58. A much better go at a lotus flower, with a ohm for interest.

Day 59. I don't know what these are, no excuses really but it was a busy day and its the end of the month, so threw this out quick. Oh well on to next month.

Flowers February 15th - 21st

Day 46. Another chrysanthemum, not a lot else to say!

Day 47. Peony and cherry blossoms design.

Day48. Going for an Art Nouveau look with lillies.

Day 49. More rose designs.

Day 50. Just some quick random daisy type designs, some days it gets hard to find the time to sketch.

Day 51. Trying for a cherry blossom branch design and failing, should not have put in the background.

Day52. A proper tattoo design. Rose, Dagger and banners.

Flowers February 8th - 14th

Day 39. Trying to get back to a more traditional tattoo design. The roses are a bit samey but there you go.

Day 40. Lotus flower, Not happy with this at all, will try to do better next time.

Day 41. Going for a, sort of, Egyptian lotus flower look.

Day 42. Peony layout. open and closed, useable designs.

Day 43. Layout based on a William Morris embroidery design print.

Day 44. Trying some different rose styles.

Day 45. Classic tattoo style Heart & Roses, well it is Valentines day!
